YugenSpace
Terms of Service
Draft prepared 20 August 2026 · Effective date: [to be set on publication]
Draft — pending legal review
This document is a working draft provided for transparency while YugenSpace prepares for launch. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and is not a binding agreement. Sections in square brackets are placeholders to be finalised before these Terms take effect.
These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern your access to and use of the YugenSpace application and related services (together, the Service), operated by [YugenSpace legal entity name and registered address — to be confirmed]. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
Access to the Service is currently invite-only. You must be at least [minimum age — to be finalised] years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
2. The Service
YugenSpace is a geospatial analysis platform. It lets you ask questions in natural language and draw geographic areas of interest, then uses artificial intelligence together with satellite imagery and related data to produce analyses about those areas — for example, vegetation, land cover, water, or change over time.
The Service depends on third-party data sources and compute providers described in our Privacy Policy. Features, data availability, and coverage may change, and parts of the Service may be unavailable from time to time.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or export control;
- infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person or entity;
- use satellite imagery, derived data, or Outputs in a way that breaches the licence terms of the underlying data providers (for example, Copernicus / Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem terms);
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or connected systems, or probe or test their vulnerability;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by scraping, overloading, or circumventing rate limits or usage controls;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or underlying models, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- use the Service to develop a competing product, or to generate content that is harmful, harassing, deceptive, or otherwise abusive.
4. AI-generated output — no warranty of accuracy
The Service produces measurements, estimates, figures, maps, summaries, and other results (Outputs) using artificial intelligence models applied to remote-sensing data. Outputs are generated automatically and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. They are statistical estimates derived from imagery, not ground-truth observations, and they can be affected by cloud cover, sensor limitations, processing choices, model error, and the age or resolution of the source data.
Outputs are provided for informational purposes only. You must independently verify any result before relying on it, and you should not use Outputs as the sole basis for decisions that affect safety, legal or regulatory compliance, financial commitments, property or land rights, or the environment. The Service is not a substitute for professional advice, a licensed survey, or on-the-ground verification.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that Outputs are accurate, reliable, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for how you use and interpret Outputs.
5. Third-party data, licences, and services
The Service retrieves and processes data from third-party providers, including satellite imagery catalogues, model providers, and compute and storage services. Your use of that data may be subject to those providers' own terms and licences, and you agree to comply with them. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability is not guaranteed.
6. Your content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service, including your questions, the geographic areas you draw, and any files you provide (your Content). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and transmit your Content to the sub-processors described in the Privacy Policy for the sole purpose of operating and improving the Service.
The Service itself — including its software, design, and underlying models and workflows — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, no rights are transferred.
7. Fees and plans
The Service is currently offered on an invite-only basis. [Pricing, paid plans, billing terms, and any usage limits — to be finalised.]
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, YugenSpace and its operators, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any reliance on Outputs.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service and these Terms will not exceed [liability cap — to be finalised]. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
[Indemnification terms — to be finalised.] You agree to use the Service responsibly and in compliance with these Terms and applicable law.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.
12. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing law / jurisdiction — to be finalised], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [Dispute resolution and venue — to be finalised.]
